"What would you attempt to do if you knew you could not fail?" is stamped on the paper weight that my wife gave me several years after we started dating. My answer to her and all of you is simply this "I am already doing it". I choose to live the life of a photographer, and a full time artist. I am passionate about the work I create and constantly searching for the next adventure to travel the globe for both work and pleasure, capturing the beauty of life that surrounds us all.
My style is best described as real, authentic, connection based as that is the way life happens. I prefer natural light, real emotion, strong compositions, engaging images, sharp focus that pushes the boundaries of creativity. Even with ten years of digital editing I still prefer to do all this in the camera, my philosophy is to get it right the first time and not waste time fixing it later in photoshop.
I find myself a bit of a perfectionist so I work hands on with all my clients and their projects. The added time spent building that relationship with clients, starting with initial contact to delivery of your precious images allows a deeper understanding of your needs. My goal is to take your vision and deliver images that exceed your expectations.
I am very social online and can be found on Facebook, Pinterest and Instagram. If you are inquiring about services I prefer to get to know you the good old fashioned way via the telephone, yes I know so old school ( my mobile is 843.333.1212)...but seriously talking about your photography needs really helps to get a clearer vision. You can always email first to info@carlkerridge.com
Normally the first question asked after looking at my work is how much are your services?. My response is no two jobs or clients are alike, and so neither should your pricing be. I can tell you after 15 years in business I am not cheap and recommend to you, my potential clients, that you get what you pay for.
Equipment I have been a Nikon shooter since my first manual focus film camera, the F100 back in 1996. I am now shooting with Nikon Pro Digital equipment, and of course my phone #everybodyloveinstagram.
Travel Yes please!. I travel anywhere for jobs. To date I have shot weddings in 12 States in the USA, In England, Ibiza, Canada and even India. I have driven hundreds of miles through the Colorado Rockies for a Spa in Telluride, taken boats through Cambodia to document Angkor Wat, hiked the jungle of Costa Rica for yoga retreats, filmed a documentary in Ecuador, stood squashed in the middle of millions of people for Maha Kumbh Mela in India, and even dived in the shark tank at Ripley's Aquarium in Myrtle Beach, SC. It's a truly wonderful job I have and I would love to share my passion for making images with you. Please let me know how I can be of service.
